CHART READING MASTERCLASS II

This lesson is your Chart Reading Masterclass II. Once you complete your Chart Reading Masterclasses make sure you use and look for and use these symbols and indications every time you play or write music. Remember, true learning only takes place by doing. Study the music below, it feels good to be informed.

The Roadmap is the way to go from the beginning of the song to the end of the song while observing all the directions the writer has you to observe.
Here you'd start the top and play until it says D.C. al Fine -Back to the top until you see the fine. Then you're done.
Here you'd start the top and play until it says D.S. al Fine -Back to the Sign until you see the fine. Then you're done.
Example 4: Road Maps & The CODA
THE ROADMAP

1.) Start at the TOP.

2.)Play until the end of the second line. Don't take the CODA the first time through because a CODA is only for the ending

3.) When you see a double bar line something is about to happen. Notice the D.C. al CODA. Go back to the TOP play until youe see To CODA.

4.) Jump to the CODA and finish up.
